Why this kit matters

The SH-3H Sea King is a legendary anti-submarine warfare helicopter, developed by Sikorsky and introduced in the 1960s. It served with the US Navy and many allied forces, playing a key role in maritime patrol, search and rescue, and anti-submarine operations during the Cold War and beyond. The SH-3H variant featured advanced sonar, radar, and electronic systems, making it a vital asset for naval fleets worldwide.

With its distinctive design and proven track record, the SH-3H became an icon of naval aviation. It was involved in historic missions, including Apollo astronaut recoveries and numerous rescue operations.
