Hornby LMS Corridor 1st Class (Crimson Lake)
During the Stanier period, non-corridor coaches varied little from their original concept laid down in the 1920s except for the flush clad exterior, which remained well into the late 1960s. The design of the Period III Stainer coaches still consisted of high waisted seating arrangements, which never changed from the earlier years. No lavatory sets were built during the Stanier regime, and apart from a few lavatory composites for the London Tilbury and Southend section, all the Stanier non-corridor stock was of the suburban type.
